Tops Tips when building a new home renovating developing or even refurbishing a home.
There truly is only 2 things that need to be done to the highest standard and those 2 things that need to be done properly and that is plumbing and electrics and in tradesmen terms M&E ( mechanical & Electrical )
If these two things are not done right in a home can cause a lot of long-term costs and also mean you will end up paying more instead of investing once.
A lot of people rely on the Builder or Developer to know what they are doing but this shouldnt be the case as it is down to the home owner to get this side of things right. As builders understand structure and how to build but do not actually always understand M&E.
As a home owner the best way to do this is to either find a M&E desinger or to call in a few manufacturers to Specify what the best options are.
Personally it is cheaper to call a manufacturer and get the specification of them as it is free as they want you to use their equipment.
Also always check your engineer is willy to do this as homes now have a lot more in them then they used to .
